Nonna's Table

Nonna’s Table was founded in 2018 with the hope of bringing communities together through the love of authentic Italian cuisine. It started with traditional Italian recipes ready to be reheated at home, but soon pivoted to handmade pastas, sauces and other Italian staples during the pandemic, which saw a rise in customers’ desires to try out their cooking skills in the wake of nationwide restaurant closures. Nonna’s Table needed a cohesive brand strategy to expand their appeal as their product range and consumer exposure grew.

Using a combination of handwritten style and sans serif typeface, I was able to communicate a long history with a vibrant future. Brand colors draw on the rich color palette of Italian foods, with yellow gold, subdued red, and olive green all complemented by the use of kraft paper in product packaging.

Excerpt from Nonna's Table:

"Cooking in the Italian tradition is a humble invitation.

It says, “Welcome to my home. I’m glad you’re here.” Nonna’s Table has always emphasized the simplicity of Italian cooking. Our unique line of fresh Italian products has offered families the opportunity to start with authentic recipes and build on them to create something new and delicious. Our recipes have been passed down for generations–from immigrants to America, to children and grandchildren of those immigrants, and even to those who simply love and appreciate the fresh and comforting flavors of Italian cuisine. And you, just by visiting our market, have accepted our invitation.

Welcome to our home. We're glad you're here."
